This rotary transfer machine automatically fits pistons onto shock absorber rods. An electrically powered tooling plate allows simple adjustment of the machine to accommodate a wide variety of shock absorber sizes and designs. The operator loads loosely assembled parts into the location fixture and closes the guard.
The machine clamps the piston accurately in position (relative to the rod) while a DC torque and angle tool tightens the lock nut to the required specification. An orbital riveting head (c/w load monitoring) then rivets the nut firmly in position. Click on thumbnail to view a larger image.Gallery |
