This machine drills and taps three holes in SG cast iron clamp components. Castings are automatically fed into the machine from a hopper. A vibratory bowl feed orientates and feeds each part to the pick up position. A linear transfer mechanism transports each part from station to station. Three holes are drilled two of which are tapped. A flood coolant system provides lubrication for the cutting tool which also flushes swarf out of the fixtures. This is fed into the base of the machine where a drag link conveyor draws the swarf out to a stillage. One fully machined part is ejected every 5 secs Click on thumbnail to view a larger image.Gallery |
